Privacy Policy
Effective 18 October 2026. Tension Tap is made by FatCouple OÜ (Fire in Belly), Estonia.
Microphone
When you take a reading, the app listens through the microphone and analyses the sound on the phone, in memory, to find the pitch of the string bed. The audio is discarded as it is analysed. It is never saved to a file and never sent anywhere. The app asks for microphone permission the first time you measure; you can turn it off at any time in Settings › Tension Tap.
What stays on your phone
Your racquets, string details, calibration and readings are stored only in the app's storage on your phone, protected by iOS file protection. They are included in your own device backup if you use one. Deleting the app deletes them.
What we collect
Nothing. The app has no account, no analytics, no advertising, no tracking and no network connection of its own. We do not receive your readings or any information about how you use the app.
Export
If you choose Export history, the app creates a CSV file and hands it to the iOS share sheet. Where it goes next is your choice, and the destination's own privacy terms apply.
Children
The app collects no personal information from anyone, including children.
Changes
If this policy changes, the new version will be posted on this page with a new effective date.
