What stays on your device

Your watchlist and settings (such as whether alerts are on, your feed choices and whether you have seen the first-launch notice) are stored only on your iPhone or iPad. Deleting the app deletes them. They can be part of your own device backups, which Apple handles under your settings; we never receive them.

What the app sends to our server

To show data, the app asks our server for public filing information, for example this week's purchases or a company's page when you open it, which identifies the company by its ticker. If you have Pro and turn alerts on, the app also sends the tickers on your watchlist during background refreshes so the server can return new filings for them.

These requests contain no name, email address, contact details, location or device identifier. Our server answers each request and does not keep request logs.

Pro subscription

Purchases are handled by Apple. We never see your payment details or your Apple Account.

If you subscribe, the app attaches the App Store's signed subscription record to its data requests so our server can confirm that Pro is active. The record describes the purchase (the product, its dates and a transaction number), not you. Our server checks it for each request and does not store it.

Hosting

Our hosting provider processes your device's IP address transiently to deliver each response. We do not store IP addresses or use them to work out where you are.

Notifications

Alerts are local notifications created on your device. The app asks for notification permission only when you turn alerts on, and no push token leaves your device.

People named in filings

Stake Radar shows the names and roles of company insiders exactly as they appear in public filings, for the purpose of providing the investing public with information to enable them to make informed investment decisions. We show only a person's name, role and filed transactions, never identity numbers, addresses or contact details, and only within the company they filed about. There is no search by person.

If you appear in the data and believe something is inaccurate, email kl@fireinbelly.com with the company, the date and what should change. We reply within 40 days. We show filings as filed and reflect amendments when they are filed.

Children

Stake Radar is not directed at children and collects no personal data from anyone.

Sharing and sale

We do not sell or share personal data. We do not hold any to share.
