Questions

Common questions

How do you keep score in Rummy 500?

When a hand ends, each player is credited with the points of the cards they have laid down on the table, minus the points of the cards still in their hand, and the first player to reach 500 wins, as Bicycle's rules describe. Rummy 500 Scorekeeper records each player's hand score and keeps the running totals for you.

Can a round score be negative?

Yes. When the cards left in a player's hand are worth more than the cards they laid down, that hand scores below zero. The app accepts negative round scores and subtracts them from the total.

What if two players pass 500 on the same hand?

The higher score wins. If two players tie for the lead, the app does not pick a winner for you: play on, or settle it by your house rule.

Can I play to a different target?

Yes. Choose 300, 500 or 1,000 points, or set your own target from 100 to 5,000.

How many players does it support?

From 2 to 8 players per game.

Does it know the card values?

No. Card values and house rules vary by table, so you count each hand your way and enter the result. The app handles the score sheet while you handle the cards.

Does it work offline, on iPhone and iPad?

Yes, on both, with no internet connection, no account and no ads.

What does it cost?

One purchase (US$0.99 in the US store). No in-app purchases or subscription.
