Convert HEIC to JPG is an iPhone and iPad app from Fire in Belly (FatCouple OÜ). Every conversion runs on your device.

The app contains no networking code at all. It does not collect, transmit, or receive any information. There are no accounts, no sign-in, no analytics, no advertising, no crash reporting, and no third-party SDKs of any kind. Your photos never leave your device.
What happens on your device
When you pick photos, the app reads their image data, converts each one to JPG, and writes the result to your photo library. To hit the target file size you chose (200KB, 500KB, 1MB, or 2MB) it repeatedly re-encodes the image at different JPEG quality levels and keeps the best fit. All of that work happens inside the app on your device.
Converted images are held in memory for the current session so the app can offer the iOS share sheet right after a conversion. Closing the app discards them. The copies saved to your photo library stay under your control in the Photos app.
The app has no server, no database, and no account system, so there is no version of your photos anywhere except on your own device.
Permissions
- Photo library: used so you can choose the photos you want to convert through the standard iOS photo picker.
- Add to photo library: used so the converted JPG files can be saved back to your library.
Nothing else is requested. The app does not ask for camera, location, contacts, microphone, notifications, or app tracking permission.
Sharing and disclosure
We do not sell, rent, share, or disclose your information, because we never receive any. There are no advertising partners, no data brokers, and no analytics vendors involved in this app. The app sets no cookies and does no web tracking.
Retention and deletion
Nothing reaches us, so there is nothing on our side to store, export, or delete. Converted JPG files live in your photo library and you can remove them in the Photos app whenever you like. The app never deletes or modifies your original photos. Deleting the app removes it and its on-device state.
Children
The app collects no information from anyone, at any age, including children.
Payment
Convert HEIC to JPG is a US$0.99 one-time purchase with no subscriptions and no in-app purchases. Apple handles the transaction and payment details. We receive Apple's sales reports, which do not identify individual buyers.
Changes and contact
